The attached pictures were sent from a Boston Ave resident and property owner in the Town of Hampton, NH.
Taken just before Memorial Day 2024. The town never sent a truck at all this Spring To clean up the dune.
The beach walkway ( ADA accessibility to the beach) was never put down until early August and after it was brought up in a public selectmen meeting during public comment.
It is a shame that the town does not have time to maintain its own properties because it is busy maintaining the state's.
DPW also spends most of its time collecting commercial waste.
The NH state park department has access to the Hampton Transfer Station to dispose of state park trash at the Hampton taxpayer expense. When was this all agreed to by the voters of the town? Most of it is based on an agreement from 1933 between the town and the state. One based on state interests over taxpayer interests.
The Hampton selectmen could petition the Governor and Executive Council to amend this dinosaur document, but the majority of them refuse to, just like the majority refuse to seek millions a year in retro pay to the town from the state revenues to offset budgetary costs incurred by police, fire, and public works. A RIG JOB.
Why should people in Hampton, NH agree to pay a higher property tax bill?
