UPDATED ASSESSED VALUES LEAD TO SUBSTANTIAL PROPERTY TAX HIKES IN HAMPTON, NH

RISING PROPERTY TAXES DURING A TIME OF IRRESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENT REGULATION AND SPENDING, WHICH HAS LED TO THE DEMISE OF THE DOLLAR.

"The state of NH has redefined assessed values used to determine property tax amounts to mean the same as the market value as if you had sold your home and recognized the gain. The data comes from qualified sales during a two-year period."

Seeing that Hampton has several concerned taxpayers, and the townwide revaluation process SHOULD be as transparent to the public as possible, perhaps the selectmen, on behalf of certain Hampton taxpayers could request that Municipal Resources provide copies of all Mass Appraisal Review Report USPAP Compliance Worksheets, and all Income Calculation Worksheets used in the 2024 Hampton Revaluation to the town for their records.

According to the 2024 Contract between the town and MRI, "any supporting documentation supplied, provided, or utilized by Contractor in the process of compiling the market analysis ... shall be relinquished to and become property of Municipality."  section 3.3.7 MRI-Revaluation-Services-Contract

Q. Why did we request this information?

A. These worksheets will verify whether or not national appraisal standards have been met.

Previously we requested the appraisaal standards report that is generated by the revaluation, however the report is not due until 12.20.24 to the Dept. Of Revenue Admin. (DRA) and will only be in DRAFT form until it is reviewed by the department for compliance.

In conclusion, at this point it appears the latest Hampton property tax bills were issued before the compliance portion of the revaluation was completed.

MORE ON THIS TOPIC

"Inflated markets based on irresponsible government spending leading to the demise of the dollar seem to somehow justify the ludicrously high assessed values tagged to some of these Hampton homes."
