POWERSCHOOL NATIONWIDE BREACH - EFFECTS STUDENT DATA - NH SEACOAST SCHOOLS.
From the 1/8/25 6PM email to Hampton school parents.
"I wanted to provide the following update to the notification that our student and teacher databases may have been compromised last month. Here is the timeline of events as we understand them today:● On or about December 19, hackers used a compromised credential to gain access to PowerSchool’s student information system. "
"We have determined that the following information was accessed from the District account:address, grade level, home phone, ethnicity, student alerts, doctor's name and phone number, cumulative grade-point average, gender, state student ID number, date of birth, guardian's address, email and phone, emergency contact, homeroom, lunch status, student's schedule."
If this does not want to make you run for the school board, I do not know what will. In speaking with Ann Marie Banfield, there is a 2023 class action lawsuit against PowerSchool. the district did not mention this to parents in their message.
