Is anyone concerned with water quality, water supply, or PFAS contamination?
As a former selectman, I sure was. While obtaining my masters I presented a plan.
A regional NH desalination plant using nuclear energy, seawater, and reverse osmosis would solve these concerns for the foreseeable future.
The politicos in NH at the time said no.
Perhaps with a new governor and potential new members to the Hampton selectmen, it will be time to rectify this solution not only for New Hampshire but perhaps neighboring states.
A business plan was submitted to Governor Sununu & Eversource. This was after the utility giant had acquired Aquarion Water Company and pledged to invest into the water industry and infrastructure. However, at the time, the governor and Eversource, in short, slammed the door in my face when I approached them with the proposal.
Perhaps minds could be changed with some assertive pressure from the public?
Perhaps New Hampshire or at least seacoast communities could establish a committee to study the development of a desalination plant?
A PLAN WAS PROPOSED.
BARNES' 2019 MBA BUSINESS PLAN FOR A REGIONAL WATER DESALINATION PLANT IN SOUTHEAST NEW HAMPSHIRE
"The current Administration in Washington D.C., has pledged to find approximately $1 trillion to invest in America’s needed infrastructure improvements. “The administration’s goal is to seek long-term reform on how infrastructure projects are regulated, funded, delivered, and maintained,”
NEW HAMPSHIRE / EVERSOURCE JUST NEEDED THE PROPOSAL TO PRESENT TO EPA OFFICIALS AT THE TIME.
WITHOUT CLEAN WATER AND ENOUGH OF IT, WE GOT NADA.
